Myofascial Release

Myofascial tissue is also referred to as connective tissue and, as the name implies, connects everything. The properties of myofascial tissue include extreme strength, elasticity and slipperiness and is what makes the body strong supple and agile all at once.

When the chemistry of the fascial tissue is compromised it becomes brittle and hard and instead of lubricating our insides it becomes like glue.

Changing misalignments of the body requires the release of fascial restrictions.

Nonthreatening stretch and or pressure   = Release.
                                  Time

Release is when the fibrous tissues lengthen and return to their normal elasticity and the fluid part becomes more slippery.

Imagine you have a body stocking on and after years of wear and tear, washing, injuries and cuts etc., your body stocking will become misshapen, it will feel too small, twisted and constricting. We cannot change our body stocking so we must change the myofascial tissue back to its original elasticity.
